Situated at the base of the Helderberg mountain range and at the start of the iconic Whale route, Gordon’s Bay is an attractive easy going small town in the bottom corner of the False Bay coastline, Named after the Dutch explorer of Scottish descent Robert Jacob Gordon (1743 – 1795) and is home of the General Botha’s South African Naval College where Naval officers receive training, providing intrigue to visitors of Bikini Beach coffee shops as a surfaced Submarine can be seen in the bay from time to time.
